Celebrating 25 Years of ‘Ocean’s Eleven’

Warner Bros.
Released on December 7, 2001, Ocean’s Eleven was a critical and commercial success, earning $183.4 million in the US and $450 million globally. The film spawned two sequels, Ocean’s Twelve (2004) and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007). A spin-off, Ocean’s Eight, starring Sandra Bullock as Danny Ocean’s sister Deborah, was released in 2018 and also proved popular with audiences.
Warner Bros. is now focusing on Ocean’s Fourteen instead of a prequel that would have featured Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper as Danny and Deborah Ocean’s parents. Steven Soderbergh, the director of the original Ocean’s trilogy, won’t be directing the new film. Although the sequel might not coincide with the 25th anniversary of the franchise, its planned 2027 release would mark 20 years since the original team last teamed up in Ocean’s Thirteen.
