Xbox Game Pass is making headlines again, this time with a fresh lineup of games coming in October. This month is special because it features three first-party Xbox titles, with a couple launching very soon. Ninja Gaiden 4, developed by PlatinumGames and published by Xbox Game Studios, looks particularly promising – I had a chance to play it and it’s shaping up to be a great experience. Smaller game fans will also want to check out Keeper from Double Fine, a unique adventure about a lighthouse and a bird told entirely without spoken words.
Just a reminder that Xbox Game Pass recently changed its naming structure: “Core” is now “Essential” and “Standard” is now “Premium.” Here’s a look at all the games coming in early October 2025.

What’s leaving Xbox Game Pass on October 15, 2025?
A few games are leaving Xbox Game Pass soon, so if you want to continue playing them, you’ll need to purchase them. Luckily, Game Pass members get a discount when buying these games, so now’s a great time to save!
- Cocoon
- Core Keeper
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutants Unleashed
A great month for Xbox first-party, but snag Cocoon before it disappears

I highly recommend checking out Cocoon before it’s removed from Xbox Game Pass. It’s a wonderfully clever puzzle game created by a key member of the team behind Limbo and Inside – it’s seriously mind-bending! Aside from that, the new games available this month are the main highlight, but Game Pass Premium subscribers are getting a nice selection of titles that were previously only available on Ultimate and PC.
