Square Enix has released a new trailer for *Octopath Traveler 0*, the latest game in the HD-2D role-playing series. This installment differs from previous games by allowing players to create and customize their own main character, including their class. The story follows this character’s journey for revenge after their home, Wishvale, is destroyed.
The game focuses on exploring the world and teaming up with others, but you’ll also get to build and manage your own town. You can construct buildings, attract residents, grow crops, and do plenty more. Battles still use the familiar Break and Boost system, letting you power up your attacks by spending Boost energy.
Battles now feature teams of eight characters, and each one has a powerful, game-changing ultimate ability. Players can also customize their characters with pre-selected action skills, giving them more options and strategic choices.
Octopath Traveler 0 will be available on December 4th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch (including the new model), and PC. The game features a lengthy main story expected to take around 100 hours to complete. While inspired by the mobile game *Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Content*, it includes a significant amount of new content.
