Off Campus Romance Report: Which Cast Member Is Newly Single?

Since the film Off Campus was released a little over two weeks ago, some of the actors involved have been replaced.

The upcoming second season of the show will likely continue the playful dynamic between Mika Abdalla’s character, Allie Hayes, and Stephen Kalyn’s Dean Di Laurentis. However, Mika Abdalla has recently separated from a former co-star in real life.

Mika Abdalla and her fiancé, actor Jake Short, have ended their engagement. A representative for Abdalla confirmed the split to Us Weekly on June 1st, stating they wanted to address recent public interest in her personal life.

After appearing together in the 2022 film Sex Appeal and playing on-screen lovers, Short, 29, and Abdalla are still supportive of each other and remain friends, according to a statement from her representative.

While their on-screen chemistry with Kalyn is very strong, their connection isn’t quite as intense in person.

Abdalla shared that Kalyn was initially worried about approaching him because of what she described as a naturally stern look. However, once she addressed that concern, “Our relationship became really fascinating,” the 26-year-old told People magazine. “Now, we’re incredibly close – he’s like a brother to me.”

I’ve noticed something really cool – the actors from the Amazon series based on Elle Kennedy’s books are genuinely close! They often spend time together as a group, and it’s clear they’ve become a real squad off-screen, which is awesome to see.

Abdalla said these people are among his closest friends. He feels it’s incredibly special to share this journey with others who understand what he’s going through, and to have their support – especially when those people are people he truly cares about.

However, that doesn’t mean anyone in the cast is in love. 

Fans are disappointed to learn that Belmont Cameli, who plays Garrett Graham, is still dating Kalyn. Meanwhile, Ella Bright, who portrays Hannah Wells, seems to be single and exploring her options right now.

The actress, born in New York and raised in London, currently plays the character of Hannah, a dedicated songwriter, in the popular show Off Campus. She is reportedly single, but excited to see what the future holds as her career takes off.

Bright told Vanity Fair she never expected her series to become so popular. She said its success completely changed her life for the better, and that she’s now achieving things she once thought were impossible.

Star hockey player Graham, known as a ‘big man on campus,’ needs to show Hannah he’s just as good in a relationship as he is on the ice.

However, in her personal life, the Illinois native has been with TV writer Raina Morris since at least March 2025. Cameli first hinted at their relationship by including Morris in a photo series on Instagram.

Meredith Abdalla, best known as Hannah’s close friend Allie on the show Stephen Kalyn, was previously engaged to her Sex Appeal co-star, Jake Short. They ended their engagement, and the breakup was confirmed in June 2026.

A representative for Abdalla confirmed to Us Weekly that Mika and Jake have broken up, following recent public interest in Mika’s personal life. The two have agreed to remain friends and support each other, and they’ve asked for privacy during this time.

Although Dean struggles with commitment, Kalyn’s fiancée, Victoria Lovatsis, has been a constant presence in his life since 2012.

In March 2024, Lovatsis showed off a diamond ring on her Instagram, and she was wearing it at the premiere of Off Campus in May. Kalyn might not have even attended the event if Lovatsis hadn’t invited her.

The actor shared with Elite Daily that his fiancée was a fan of the books, with Dean being her favorite character. When the show was announced, she insisted he try out for the role, telling him, ‘You absolutely have to play Dean.’

Garrett’s friend, John Logan, isn’t like the many other players on campus. And the actor who plays him, Cipriano, has been in a committed relationship with Justine Verheul since 2023.

Oh my gosh, it feels like just yesterday I was marking a year of loving the absolute most amazing person ever, back in August 2024! And then, for their 25th birthday in May 2025… I just poured my heart out! I wrote how they’re my life partner, my favorite person to travel with, and seriously, my best friend. John Tucker is a kind and thoughtful character, and like the relaxed nurse Mateo from The Pitt, he seems ready for a romance when the Off Campus series explores his love life as a Briar forward.

And the same goes for Brooks, who appears to be romantically unattached IRL for now.

Okay, seriously, I’m already obsessed! This actor – he’s from L.A., by the way – told The Hollywood Reporter exactly what I’ve been thinking. He gets it. He said he’s a total fan of stories that build slowly, and honestly? Same! But even better, he’s talking about Tucker’s storyline, how they’re setting him up to be this big, strong guy with a heart of gold. I just know we’re all going to fall in love with it. It’s perfect!

The Australian actor will not return for season two of Off Campus because his character, Justin, wasn’t a good match for Hannah, who realized she didn’t have romantic feelings for him.

It’s possible Justin will return later in the show. According to series creator Louisa Levy, they didn’t get to introduce Justin’s future partner, Stella, from the book. She suggests they might find a way to bring him back in a future season to explore that relationship.

Okay, so as far as I can tell, poor Jack isn’t seeing anyone right now, which kills me, but he’s definitely hoping to find someone special soon! He’s talked about wanting that part of his life to happen, and honestly, I’m living for the day he finds his person! It’s just…he’s so perfect, someone needs to snap him up!

Heuston mentioned in a 2025 interview with Esquire Australia that he eventually wants a traditional family life – kids and a house with a white picket fence. However, he added that feels like a distant goal right now, acknowledging that life can change unexpectedly.
