Olivia Munn Got Food Poisoning After Eating Sushi in Hot Bath

Olivia Munn had a less than raw-mantic evening.

The actress from Newsroom shared a crazy story about getting really sick from sushi while she was in the bath.

Olivia admitted to doing something truly unpleasant while co-hosting “Today With Jenna & Friends” with Jenna Bush Hager on November 18th, saying she couldn’t believe she was even sharing the story.

Once she began sharing her story, the 45-year-old mother of Malcolm, 3, and Méi, 13 months, and wife of John Mulaney, 43, felt compelled to explain everything. She mentioned that she usually loves taking baths as a way to unwind and relax.

Olivia explained that she was working and feeling incredibly tired when the decision was made. She was staying at the Shangri-La Hotel in Vancouver at the time, and she particularly enjoyed their sushi.

As Olivia noted, “I needed to take a bath, and I also needed to eat.”

And Jenna could see the vision.

“And then you wanted to go to bed,” she noted, “You were thinking of the finish line.”

Olivia agreed and explained that she’d started the bath and placed the sushi nearby before taking care of a few other tasks.

She remembered getting distracted and returning to her meal, explaining she was actually in the bathtub when she started eating the sushi.

The actress from X-Men: Apocalypse later regretted both sharing the story on live television and, surprisingly, eating the sushi she mentioned.

She said she got food poisoning and ended up getting sick in the airport gift shop, throwing up into a trash can from a distance.

Olivia playfully said she had “great aim,” referring to her tendency to suddenly feel sick and vomit forcefully.

She quickly clarified that sushi definitely shouldn’t be warmed with bathwater, and then admitted she was embarrassed to even be sharing the story.

Jenna was surprised by what she heard and jokingly replied, “Getting food poisoning in the bath is a new one for me – something I definitely haven’t experienced!”
