It’s being reported that Louise Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, who both rose to fame in One Direction, are planning a road trip that will be documented in a new Netflix series.
According to a report in The Sun, filming has reportedly started on a new project that will follow the duo as they journey across the United States. Throughout the series, they are expected to talk about past misrepresentations and recall their experiences as members of the well-known band.
Harry Styles and Niall Horan are not expected to appear in the series.
Deadline has reported that Nicola Marsh will direct, and Ross Dinerstein and Rebecca Evans of Campfire Studios will serve as executive producers.
Sources say Tomlinson and Malik are expected to discuss the passing of their bandmate, Liam Payne, who tragically died in 2024 at the young age of 31.
Following the news of his death, many people shared their condolences and respectful tributes. His former bandmates from One Direction released a joint statement saying: “We are deeply saddened to hear about Liam’s passing… We will always cherish the memories we made together.”
The singer received an honour at The BRIT Awards 2025, following a touching tribute delivered via a message from host Jack Whitehall.

During the event, Whitehall paused to honor Payne, describing him as “a truly remarkable individual who was deeply loved by many present, and by millions globally”.
He went on to say: “Last October, we were shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic death of Liam Payne.”
He accomplished a great deal during his life, and was more than just a remarkably talented musician; he was a genuinely compassionate person who positively impacted everyone he met.
We cherish the many wonderful memories we have of Liam during his time with The Brits, and tonight we honor his impact by remembering the incredible Liam Payne.
