One of 2025’s Best RPGs Is Free to Play for a Limited Time

It’s been an amazing year for role-playing games, with something new for every type of player. We’ve seen exciting releases like Avowed, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and The Outer Worlds 2, covering all sorts of RPG styles. If you enjoy realistic medieval adventures, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 from Warhorse Studios is a great choice. Warhorse aims to immerse you in 15th-century Bohemia, playing as a knight rising through the ranks. While your character, Henry, isn’t a complete beginner with a sword, you’ll need to practice and improve your combat abilities. Early on, if you encounter multiple enemies at once, it’s usually best to avoid a fight and retreat.

Good news for those trying out KCD2 during the free weekend! If you enjoy it, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is 40% off. Plus, you can continue right where you left off – your progress from the free trial will carry over to the full game. For even more content, the expansion pass, which includes all three story DLCs, is also discounted.

The last of the downloadable content packs is coming out right after this promotion ends! Called Mysteria Ecclesiae, it will be available on November 11th and lets you explore a brand new story as you investigate a hidden monastery. This Sherlock Holmes-inspired adventure seems like the biggest and best DLC Warhorse has created for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, making now a great time to start playing.
