Crunchyroll has had a strong year for anime, with a mix of returning hits and new series. Popular shows like Jujutsu Kaisen, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Oshi no Ko, and Hell’s Paradise are back, while new titles like Ronin Warriors and Sentenced to be a Hero are gaining fans. As some anime are just beginning, one major Crunchyroll series is nearing its conclusion. Fortunately, fans are getting a fresh preview of the anime before the final episodes are released later this year.
Following the success of Trigun Stamepede, Trigun Stargaze continues the story of Vash the Stampede and his companions. This reboot from Studio ORANGE stays more faithful to the original manga than the earlier Madhouse anime, leading to significant changes across the two seasons. Not only have Vash and his brother Knives undergone character development, but their appearances have also been drastically updated, as shown in a newly released poster where Vash is seen with black hair and Knives has a completely new look.
The climactic visual for TRIGUN STARGAZE has been revealed!
“We’re not alone anymore.”
Vash vs. Knives – the battle between the brothers that will shake the stars – finally comes to a conclusion.
Episode 11, “I MISS YOU,” will air on March 21st at 11:15 PM. #TRIGUNSTARGAZE #TRIGUN

The End of Trigun

From the beginning, Trigun Stargaze was planned to have twelve episodes, so there are only two left before Vash’s story concludes in anime form. The studio, ORANGE, has consistently said this series will be the final anime adaptation of the story. The original Trigun anime from 1998 ended before the manga was finished, forcing the creators to develop their own storylines to complete Vash’s arc. A noticeable change in the promotional poster is the appearance of Knives, who looks quite different from his previous anime portrayal.
If you haven’t started watching Trigun Stargaze, a key new character is Milly Thompson – Meryl Stryfe’s close friend and a fellow insurance investigator. Her appearance was a significant event in the series, as she wasn’t included in Trigun Stampede. Now that the anime is adapting major story points, fans are curious if it will include an important moment for the entire franchise.
The death of Nicolas D. Wolfwood is one of the most memorable and emotionally impactful moments in the Trigun series. Even decades after its original release in the 1990s, it’s still considered one of the saddest character deaths in anime. As the new Vash the Stampede anime nears its end – with only two episodes left – fans are wondering how closely it will follow the story from the original manga.
