Summoners War remains incredibly popular on mobile devices, and the hit strategy RPG is expanding to a new game. Over 200 million players have already enjoyed building teams of heroes and monsters in Summoners War: Sky Arena and battling powerful enemies. Now, Maestro Media is creating a new game that captures that same experience, led by a famous game designer. You can see early artwork from the new game below.
Maestro Media and Com2uS just announced a new game set in the world of Summoners War called Sky Arena Duel: A Summoners War Card Game. Unlike the original Summoners War RPG, this is a head-to-head card battle where you collect monsters, cast spells, and use strategy to defeat your opponent. Excitingly, the game was created by Richard Garfield, the famous designer behind games like Magic: The Gathering, KeyForge, and King of Tokyo.

Sky Arena Duel’s gameplay is built around the strategic team fights of the original game, but adapted for one-on-one battles. Players compete until someone wins two matches. Interestingly, the game’s creator, Richard Garfield, is a big fan of the series, making this a successful project for all involved.
Com2uS CEO Joohwan Lee explained that the collaboration with Maestro is fueled by a mutual passion and a desire to create something exceptional that both longtime and new players will enjoy. He highlighted Richard Garfield’s game design expertise, competitive gameplay focus, and the success of Summoners War: Sky Arena as key elements of this partnership.
Javon Frazier, the CEO and founder of Maestro Media, shared his enthusiasm for the new partnership. He explained that Maestro Media specializes in turning popular stories into engaging tabletop games. He called the collaboration with Com2uS and Richard Garfield on Summoners War: Sky Arena a perfect match – combining a hugely popular mobile RPG with the talents of a legendary game designer. The goal is to create a competitive and strategic tabletop game that stays true to the original Summoners War while attracting both existing fans and new players.
Skaff Elias of Three Donkeys LLC explained that Richard’s love for Summoners War inspired him to work on this card game. He aimed to honor the original game while also adding new and exciting ways to play.
We don’t know when it will be released, but we expect to have more details shortly. You can currently download Summoners War: Sky Arena for iOS and Android devices.
