Netflix has released a lot of original shows and movies in February. On the TV side, viewers have already enjoyed new seasons of shows like The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 4) and Love Is Blind (Season 10), and by the end of the month, new episodes of Bridgerton Season 4 and the final episodes of the Star Search reboot will be available. February also marked the return of a highly anticipated, popular Netflix series after a wait of over a year.
Gabriel Basso returns as Peter Sutherland in Season 3 of the Netflix hit series, The Night Agent, which premiered on February 19th. Based on Matthew Quirk’s novel, the show follows Sutherland, an FBI agent who uncovers a dangerous government conspiracy while working a low-level emergency line. This season, the action moves beyond Washington, D.C., taking Sutherland to Istanbul to investigate an international threat. All ten episodes are now available for streaming.
The Night Agent’s Intense, Fast-Paced Thrills Make It an Easy Binge-Watch
Netflix’s The Night Agent is a truly captivating show. It’s a relentlessly thrilling series filled with action, fights, and suspense, constantly leaving you eager to watch the next episode. The story is intricate yet easy to follow, making it impossible not to become invested. This success is reflected in the viewing numbers: Season 1 quickly became a top 10 hit after its 2023 release, accumulating over 98 million views and 800 million hours watched. Even two years later, it remains popular, currently ranking as the tenth most-watched show on Netflix.
Whether Season 3 will attract a large audience remains to be seen, but early reviews suggest it’s a must-watch. The new season begins after the dramatic conclusion of Season 2, following Peter as he pursues a former Treasury agent who has escaped to Istanbul with crucial government information. This leads him to uncover a shadowy financial network while simultaneously evading dangerous hitmen. Critics are calling this season more action-packed and intense, with deeper exploration of international spycraft. Collider praised it as the show’s best storytelling so far, and CBR believes it now rivals other popular thrillers like The Blacklist, Cross, and Designated Survivor.
Will There Be a The Night Agent Season 4?
It’s currently unclear if Netflix will renew The Night Agent for a fourth season, but its past success suggests it’s likely. According to creator Shawn Ryan, the writing team is already working on Season 4, developing the story and scripts. He anticipates a renewal announcement could come within the next few weeks.
