As a TV fan, I’m already convinced the 2020s are going to be remembered as a golden age! We’re only about halfway through the decade, but there’s been so much amazing television released, both on traditional networks and streaming services. And honestly, dramas are still ruling the airwaves – and I was thrilled to see one of my absolute favorites come back with a brand new season on Hulu!
The crime drama Will Trent is back! Season 4 premiered on ABC this week, just seven months after the end of Season 3. Based on Karin Slaughter’s novels, the show stars Ramón Rodríguez as Will Trent, a GBI agent who uses his strong intuition to solve cases and ensure no one gets left behind. New episodes air on ABC on Tuesdays and become available on Hulu the following day.
Will Trent Is One of the Best Shows on TV
Will Trent is a truly exceptional drama, standing out as one of the best shows of the 2020s, across all genres. It’s a compelling crime series focused on its characters, skillfully blending humor and emotional drama. You’ll find yourself invested in both the mysteries they solve and the personal challenges they face. The show consistently features complex storylines that connect to the characters’ pasts, adding emotional weight, and it balances these intense moments with genuine warmth and humor. This all makes Will Trent a standout network procedural, and Season 4 looks like it will be even better than before!
While official ratings aren’t available yet, the fourth season of Will Trent is getting very positive early feedback. Critics are calling it a strong and engaging continuation of the series, with a deeper focus on character development and the same thrilling, emotional impact that viewers enjoy. Joel Keller from Decider praised the season for evolving beyond a typical crime show into one of the best character-driven dramas on television. Jennie Richardson of Collider noted that Season 4 feels like a satisfying payoff for everything that’s happened so far, and that the premiere promises a bold and insightful season.
Will There Be a Will Trent Season 5?
It’s still uncertain whether the show will continue. While ABC hasn’t announced plans beyond the current fourth season—which will have 18 episodes in total—the show has been very popular on both television and streaming, so another season seems likely.
