Paramount+ is adding some family-friendly fun with the arrival of a beloved movie! Following November’s new additions, like The Road and A PAW Patrol Christmas, December brings even more titles to the streaming service. Alongside classics such as Addams Family Values, Forrest Gump, and Miracle on 34th Street, you can now stream a fantastic family film – though fans will notice its sequel isn’t currently available. Time to add marmalade sandwiches to the shopping list for movie night!
Starting December 1st, you can watch Paddington on Paramount+. This popular family film, based on the books by Michael Bond, tells the story of Paddington Bear, a marmalade-loving bear from Peru who finds a new home with the Brown family in London. Paddington gets into a bit of mischief when a taxidermist starts chasing him. While Paddington is now available on Paramount+, its sequels, Paddington 2 and Paddington in Peru, aren’t currently on the streaming service.
Paddington Is the Perfect Family Movie
Paddington is a wonderfully funny, heartwarming, and visually appealing movie that everyone in the family can enjoy. It’s the kind of film you can watch again and again, and it’s easily one of the best choices for a family movie night. Paddington himself is incredibly lovable, and his story of adjusting to city life is captivating. With beautiful visuals and a fantastic soundtrack, the movie offers humor for all ages and plenty of touching moments as it explores themes of kindness and belonging.
The Paddington movies are consistently heartwarming, and the second film, Paddington 2, actually surpassed the original. It featured a more engaging story – Paddington is wrongly accused of a crime and works to prove his innocence, facing off against a particularly clever villain played by Hugh Grant. Paddington 2 ramped up the humor for all ages and delivered a more emotionally resonant experience, proving to be even more popular than the first. Critics loved it, giving it a remarkable 99% score on Rotten Tomatoes (compared to the original’s 96%). The newest film, Paddington in Peru, continues this trend of critical acclaim with a 93% rating.

Paramount+ is making December even better for family movie nights!
