One of the Biggest RPGs of 2025 Just Got a New Release

While Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 dominated The Game Awards this year, it wasn’t the only noteworthy RPG released in 2025. It’s been a great year for RPG fans overall, with several new games to enjoy. Notably, the free-to-play open-world RPG Where Winds Meet has quickly become popular on Steam, and just a month after its release on PC and PlayStation 5, it’s now available on a new platform.

To celebrate The Game Awards, Where Winds Meet is now available on mobile! You can download this free-to-play Soulslike game on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store starting December 12th. Good news for PC players: your progress will carry over to the mobile version thanks to cross-progression support.

Everything You Need To Know About Where Winds Meet On Mobile

Where Winds Meet is a recently released free-to-play online role-playing game. Originally debuting on November 14th for both PC and PlayStation 5, this action RPG is inspired by Wuxia stories and takes place in ancient China. Players become a young sword master searching for answers about their history. The game has been very well-received on Steam, consistently attracting a large number of players. Now, it’s also available to play on mobile devices.

You can play Where Winds Meet on your phone, PC, or PS5 and continue your progress seamlessly thanks to full cross-progression. While the mobile version offers the same core gameplay, it’s a free-to-play title with some adjustments made to fit mobile devices. It’s not exactly the same as the PC and console versions, but you won’t lose your progress when switching between platforms.

Because of differences between gaming platforms, some in-game cutscenes on mobile will play as videos instead of happening in real-time. The mobile version of Where Winds Meet also has a slightly different user interface and control scheme than the PC and PlayStation 5 versions. Specifically, mobile players won’t be able to customize the button layout for skills when the game first launches. The game will also automatically enable the “Assist Deflection” feature, though players can disable it within the game’s settings.

Because Where Winds Meet has beautiful graphics and quick gameplay, it needs more powerful mobile devices than some other games. For Android, you’ll need at least 8 GB of RAM and Android 7.1 or newer. For iOS, you’ll need iOS 15 or higher. You can find the complete list of recommended specs on the game’s official website.

The mobile version of Where Winds Meet is getting positive feedback. It currently has a 4.5 out of 5-star rating on the Google Play Store, with many players praising how well it runs on mobile devices. If you haven’t been able to play the game on PC or PlayStation 5, the mobile port is a good option to experience it and see what everyone’s been talking about.

You can download and play Where Winds Meet on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices. The game is free to start, and offers optional items you can buy within the game.
