One of Xbox’s highly anticipated games set to release later this year from Xbox Game Studios will be available early. This year, we can look forward to titles such as The Outer Worlds 2, Keeper, Gears of War: Reloaded, and Ninja Gaiden 4. However, it’s worth noting that only games from Xbox Game Studios are being discussed here; this doesn’t encompass the Bethesda or Activision-Blizzard lineups. The game with the most impact among these four upcoming releases is a matter of debate. While Gears of War: Reloaded might draw the largest player base, Ninja Gaiden 4 and The Outer Worlds 2 are seen as more influential for the Xbox brand due to their status as new additions.
People eagerly awaiting Ninja Gaiden 4 might want to mark their calendars for Gamescom 2025, taking place from August 20th to August 24th. This is because they’ll have the unique opportunity to play the game for the first time ever before its official release on October 21, 2025, which will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
The specifics about which section of the game this demo covers and its length remain undisclosed. However, eager players who are attending the show have a chance to play it ahead of time by two months. Given that Xbox is presenting it in this way, it’s likely that this demo is very near to the final product that will be shipped.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m super pumped about the upcoming release of Ninja Gaiden 4, marking its position as the seventh instalment in the legendary Koei Tecmo series that started way back in 1988. This game is not just any sequel; it’s a direct follow-up to the thrilling Ninja Gaiden 3 from 2013. Although Xbox Game Studios are publishing this masterpiece, it’s not being developed by an Xbox studio. Instead, the talented teams at PlatinumGames and Team Ninja are hard at work on this project. The former is renowned for creating the Bayonetta series and NieR: Automata, while the latter has made a name for itself with Ninja Gaiden and Nioh. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us!
At the moment, it’s not possible for the general public to play this Gamescom demo through the Microsoft Store. Typically, these show demos are exclusive only to the event itself. But occasionally, they become available to the wider audience at a later stage. Since no one has given any information about it yet, we’ll have to wait and see if that happens this time.
