The Straw Hat Pirates are fan favorites in One Piece, and viewers enjoy following their adventures across the world. They’re Luffy’s best friends and play a vital role in his quest to become the Pirate King. But each crew member also has their own personal ambitions beyond helping Luffy. These individual dreams are what make the characters so compelling and give us a deeper understanding of who they are. Throughout the series, One Piece consistently highlights the importance of freedom and pursuing your goals, and the Straw Hat crew truly represents these ideas.
Most of the Straw Hat crew, like Zoro, Usopp, and Brook, are likely to achieve their ambitions. However, not everyone succeeds, and some goals are simply unattainable – even for these pirates. Specifically, these three characters are pursuing dreams that seem impossible to reach.
3) Sanji

Sanji shares a dream with his mentor, Zeff: to find the All Blue, a legendary sea where all four oceans converge and every type of marine life exists. While the All Blue has been mentioned in the story, its existence remains unconfirmed. This means Sanji’s lifelong goal might be unattainable, and whether or not the All Blue is real remains a mystery until the truth is revealed.
2) Jinbe

Jinbe is dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of Fisher Tiger and Queen Otohime: a world where Fish-Men and humans can live together peacefully. While Otohime started the process of ending the long-standing hatred, Jinbe intends to see it through. He knows it won’t be easy or quick, as centuries of conflict can’t be resolved in just a few years. Achieving his dream requires cooperation and understanding from both sides, which is a significant challenge given the deep-rooted resentment that exists.
1) Chopper

Chopper’s dream might be the hardest to achieve of anyone in the One Piece world, and it’s possible he’ll never fully reach it. As a brilliant doctor, he wants to find cures for all diseases, which is why he’s adventuring with the crew. But even with his best efforts, some illnesses will likely remain incurable, and some may even be so uncommon they’re never found. Despite this, Chopper’s journey has still been incredibly valuable, and he’s already learned and achieved so much since leaving Drum Island.
