After a wait of over two years, the second season of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece has finally arrived! The first season, released in August 2023, was a massive success, breaking all sorts of streaming records and earning rave reviews from both fans and critics – many call it the best live-action adaptation ever. While the series does differ from the original manga in some ways, it stays true to the heart of the story, which fans appreciate. The original creator, Eiichiro Oda, is heavily involved in the production to maintain its high quality. The second season quickly became a hit upon release and continues to climb the charts.
I’m excited to share that Netflix is releasing a special podcast alongside the second season of their live-action One Piece series! According to Netflix’s Tudum, the ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line Official Podcast starts streaming on March 13th. The trailer shows that the cast and crew will be giving us a peek behind the scenes of how the show is made. And for those looking ahead, they’re already gearing up for a third season, which will cover the popular Alabasta Saga from the original manga.
Netflix Will Release a One Piece Live-Action Podcast

A new podcast about the live-action series is coming to Netflix. It will feature behind-the-scenes conversations with the cast and crew. The very first episode will include series creator Eiichiro Oda and actor Iñaki Godoy (who plays Monkey D. Luffy) discussing the important Loguetown Arc – a part of the story that still impacts the manga today. Netflix’s Tudum also revealed the complete episode list for the show.
- Episode 1: Loguetown, featuring Iñaki Godoy and Eiichiro Oda
- Episode 2: Reverse Mountain, featuring Emily Rudd
- Episode 3: Whisky Peak, featuring Mackenyu
- Episode 4: Little Garden, Part 1, featuring Jacob Romero
- Episode 5: Little Garden, Part 2 featuring Taz Skylar
- Episode 6: Drum Island, featuring Charithra Chandran and Mikaela Hoover
Every episode will introduce new characters, featuring Charithra Chandran as Princess Vivi and Mikaela Hoover voicing Tony Tony Chopper.
One Piece Live-Action Season 3 Will Continue in Alabasta

The season concludes with a dramatic cliffhanger: Crocodile is plotting his next move, and the Straw Hat Pirates are heading to Alabasta. To save Vivi’s kingdom, the crew must journey to the desert island, where a formidable new enemy awaits them.
The new season will reveal more about the Baroque Works organization, including Crocodile’s plans and why he needs Nico Robin. It’s expected to completely cover the Alabasta Arc before the Straw Hat crew sets off for Sky Island. Good news for fans – Season 3 was filmed at the same time as Season 2, so the wait for the next episodes won’t be long.
