The popular series One Piece concluded its Bartholomew Kuma and Jewelry Bonney’s backstory arc, and now the anime has unveiled a sneak peek of what lies ahead in the remainder of the Egghead Arc. After a half-year break, the One Piece: Egghead Arc has recommenced for its second part, and since then it’s been delving into a fresh flashback that has dominated our screens over the past few months. Now that this flashback arc has reached its conclusion, we can finally rejoin the current happenings on Dr. Vegapunk’s futuristic island laboratory in the present day.
In the latest installment of “One Piece,” characters Kuma and Bonney, who were previously separated for years, are now back together (as viewers learned from the episodes during the flashback arc). The anime is now preparing to delve into the main events of the Egghead Arc. A unique new teaser trailer previews the upcoming battles, and “One Piece” has also offered a sneak peek at its forthcoming opening theme song that will be introduced later this summer. Catch all the action in the video below.
What to Know for One Piece: Egghead Arc
The upcoming theme song for the next stage of “One Piece: Egghead Arc” is called “CARMINE,” sung by ELLEGARDEN. Although the specific episode where it will first play hasn’t been disclosed yet, we can expect to hear it in the anime soon this month. This timing seems fitting since the series is moving towards a more turbulent part of the new arc. With the conclusion of the flashback, the storyline is shifting back to Luffy and the Straw Hats as they struggle to find a way out amidst the chaos unfolding within the island laboratory itself, which has grown even more challenging.
In the most recent installment of “One Piece”, it was disclosed that although Kuma inflicted harm upon St. Saturn, as demonstrated in the previous episode, Saturn swiftly recovered and mended from the damage. This leaves the situation unchanged, so the Straw Hats will now be preoccupied with finding a way to flee instead of engaging directly with one of the Five Elders. Escaping will prove more challenging, though, as a fresh Buster Call has been initiated with the objective of eliminating Egghead entirely.
What’s Next for One Piece?
As a die-hard One Piece fan, I’m beyond excited about the upcoming changes! With a fresh opening and closing sequence, it feels like we’re on the brink of a new era. The Buster Call has been activated by Saturn due to the chaos on the island. Dr. Vegapunk is delving into the true history of our world, Luffy’s Gear Fifth form has revived Nika’s powers, Kuma has found his long-lost daughter, and these developments are causing quite a stir among the Marines. Now, it looks like Luffy will have to use all his wits to survive yet another daring escape from an island under Buster Call!
Egghead Arc, which will soon have new English dub versions, you can now stream the series on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
