One Piece English Dub Confirms Return Date With a Ton of New Episodes

At San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2025, the panel for One Piece unveiled the scheduled release date for the upcoming set of dubbed episodes in the enduring series. The One Piece anime has been voiced in English since the mid-2000s, with 4Kids Entertainment being responsible for its initial dub. Funimation, a company well-known for introducing Dragon Ball Z to the Western audience, assumed licensing rights for the One Piece anime in 2007 and started dubbing the series. Since taking over, Funimation re-dubbed the anime from its origin, offering fans a more precise adaptation of the original Japanese series. The voice actors and crew responsible for the Funimation dubbing continued their work even after Sony acquired the company and combined it with Crunchyroll.

As an observer, I’m excited to announce that the next batch of dubbed episodes from the ongoing Egghead Island arc of One Piece will be available starting August 12th. This collection includes episodes 1123 to 1133 and will be streamed on Crunchyroll across various regions such as the United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia. Notably, this is the first set of episodes released by Toei Animation following a six-month hiatus for the series. After airing episode 1122, One Piece took a break and returned with a re-edited version of the Fishman Island arc, enhancing the anime’s overall pacing.

What Do the New One Piece Dub Episodes Cover?

In these latest 10 episodes of “One Piece”, the Strawhat pirates’ battle against the marines on Egghead Island persists. The Strawhats join forces with scientist Vegapunk, along with his unique personas called “Satalites,” to combat their adversaries. This series of episodes delves into the early lives of Bonney and Kuma, a former Sea Warlord. Kuma’s background story is particularly moving in the manga, as it unfolds a tale of unrelenting hardship, resilience, and fatherhood. Viewers watching the dubbed version will have to wait for the next set of episodes to learn more about Kuma’s history, as this current batch doesn’t complete his story arc in the anime.
