One Piece’s Elbaf arc has provided a lot of crucial information, as fans anticipated since it’s a significant part of the series’ final storyline. But while the arc was exploring the history of the Giants, it unexpectedly changed direction with a recent flashback, leading to the reveal of a legendary event: the God Valley Incident.
Now that One Piece Chapter 1161 has shown Shakky being taken into custody, it looks like this storyline is almost finished. The only big thing left to happen is the death of Rocks D. Xebec. Recent changes to the story have made the outcome pretty clear, so here’s a summary of what we know about the event, and how it’s expected to end.
5) Revolutionary Army’s Origins
A truly unexpected turn of events in recent chapters has been the appearance of Monkey D. Dragon in this unfolding chaos. Dragon remains one of the most mysterious figures in One Piece, and fans have long been curious about what pivotal moment led him to become the leader of the Revolutionary Army. While the roles of Kuma, Ivankov, and Ginny were already established, it’s surprising to discover that Dragon’s backstory is also connected to this event.
One Piece Chapter 1159 reveals that Dragon was once a Marine, and the chapter shows him understanding the true intentions of the Nobles. This realization leads him to try and make amends for his past mistakes. While rescuing Shanks is a significant act, it’s clear this is just the beginning; it’s the event that inspires Dragon to fight against the World Government. Ultimately, saving Shanks is a pivotal moment that will greatly influence the future of One Piece.
4) Shanks Ends Up With Roger Pirates Thanks to Dragon
As we discussed before, Dragon’s primary goal in this situation is to rescue Shanks. While he initially wanted to save both twins, Shamrock and Shanks, it’s apparent he wasn’t strong enough at the time and only succeeded in saving Shanks through fortunate circumstances. As this turbulent event unfolds, viewers will witness Dragon intentionally putting Shanks inside the treasure chest, which is later recovered by the Roger Pirates.
Of all the pirate crews gathered here, the Roger Pirates are the most level-headed. Therefore, when Dragon can no longer ensure Shanks’ safety, he will choose to leave him in their capable hands. Although Dragon’s role might appear small, it’s incredibly important because it begins a chain of events that will shape the future.
3) God Valley Incident’s Main Cause
The biggest reveal in the recent flashback is what actually caused the events to unfold. Initially, it was a mystery why all the pirates came to this island, but after Shakky was introduced and captured, it became clear that she was the valuable prize that attracted the most famous pirates to sneak onto the island.
This is a major change to the story of One Piece, and while it might seem funny that something so huge started because of a woman being captured and the people trying to save her, it makes the event feel believable. With Rayleigh saving Shakky in One Piece Chapter 1161, they’ve also become the most exciting romantic pairing in the series.
2) King Harold’s Involvement Is Imminent
As the story delves deeper into the God Valley Incident, it’s easy to miss that we’re also learning more about Harold. It seems King Harold played a significant role in those events, and viewers might soon discover how his actions contributed to Rocks D. Xebec’s eventual defeat amidst the turmoil.
It’s still unclear exactly how he’ll be involved. Because the story ends with the Roger Pirates and Garp being credited with defeating Rocks, Harold’s part remains a compelling puzzle. Given the strong feelings surrounding the conflict between the two groups and the real reason the Rocks participated, it will be really interesting to see how Harold’s choices will affect the final result. This is a key point to watch.
1) Rocks’ Death
What’s truly fascinating about this event, and what eventually brings it to a close, is Rocks’ death. It’s this that causes the Rocks Pirates to fall apart, and Garp and the Roger Pirates are the ones who get remembered for it. But here’s the thing that’s really starting to come to light: it won’t be some epic, glorious battle that takes Rocks down. Instead, it looks like he’ll be dying while protecting his family – his wife, Eris, and his son, Teach. It’s a much more personal tragedy than anyone initially thought!
This completely changes how we see what happened, because for a long time, ever since it was first shown, Rocks was considered a bad guy. But the newest information shows that Rocks was just as much a real pirate as Roger. His behavior wasn’t villainous at all; instead, he acted like a pirate who made a big difference, even going against the World Government’s plans. Right now, it looks like the story of God Valley in One Piece will end with Rocks dying as a sympathetic hero who was protecting his family, not as the villain everyone thought he was for so long.
