Approximately three years have passed since the end of the Wano Arc in One Piece, and since then, the series has been moving at an incredible pace, unveiling numerous hidden truths as it approaches its Final Saga. The Egghead Arc exploded with lore revelations, and the Elbaf Arc is continuing this trend by shedding light on the historical background of the One Piece world, Luffy’s Nika powers, and much more. It’s worth mentioning that the Elbaf Arc has also resolved a significant mystery from Wano that had been lingering for years – the controversy surrounding Zoro’s Conqueror’s Haki.
In Chapter 1152 of “One Piece,” a long-standing question about Zoro’s abilities is finally answered: he does indeed have Conqueror’s Haki. This revelation comes from the ex-Pirate King, Scopper Gaban, who notices it and informs Zoro that it has been radiating from him all along. With this confirmation, years of speculation about the source of Conqueror’s Haki at Wano – previously thought to be Enma instead of Zoro – is put to rest. Fans have eagerly awaited this clarification and were thrilled to finally receive it.
One Piece Finally Confirms Zoro Has Conqueror’s Haki, and Not Enma
Despite the thrilling Wano Arc and its intense battles, the ending felt somewhat incomplete, with several questions left unanswered and plotlines unexplored. One of the most intriguing mysteries that remains unsolved is whether Zoro possesses the Conqueror’s Haki or not. The crux of this debate revolves around speculation that the haki might be remnants of Oden’s haki seeping from Enma, a sword that appears to have its own consciousness as suggested earlier.
In simpler terms, the mystery surrounding Zoro’s Conqueror’s Haki deepened when the Vivre Cards failed to provide clear answers, and this delay in releasing new cards may be the reason why. It’s plausible that Enma, the sword, could hold Oden’s Haki, as shown by the Egghead Arc where it was revealed that Conqueror’s Haki can be sealed within an object for centuries, like Joyboy did with Empress.
From where I stand, it seems logical that Zoro and Sanji, key members in the pursuit of becoming the next Pirate King, should master Conqueror’s Haki themselves. This becomes even more crucial with the looming Final Saga, which positions the seemingly invincible Imu, Five Elders, and the Holy Knights as the formidable adversaries that this One Piece series has been building towards.
One Piece is available to read on Manga Plus and Viz Media.
