The One Piece manga is on an unexpected break this week, but the date it will continue publishing has been officially announced!
The latest installment was originally planned for the October 6th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, but it will now be released in the October 14th issue instead.
The official One Piece social media pages announced that the recent delay was because author Eiichiro Oda was unwell – though they also mentioned he is recovering well. They also revealed the new release date.
A statement announced: “The latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, Issue 45 (available on Monday, October 6) will not include a new ONE PIECE chapter. This is because the author is currently unwell.”
Although ONE PIECE was listed on the contents page and reader survey postcard for Issue 45, we couldn’t fix the error before it went to print. We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience.
The next installment will appear in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 46 (available starting Tuesday, October 14th). The creator is recovering nicely. We are very grateful for your ongoing support of ONE PIECE. Thank you.
The One Piece manga is now exploring the Elbaf arc, which includes details about the enigmatic and infamous God Valley Incident.
Meanwhile, the anime is continuing the Egghead Island arc, airing each week on Crunchyroll.
In other news, people are excited for the upcoming second season of the live-action One Piece on Netflix. The streaming service recently shared a sneak peek at the locations of Loguetown and Reverse Mountain.
