Developers Omega Force (under Koei Tecmo) and Publisher Bandai Namco are set to launch “One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4” on Nintendo Switch 2, in addition to its pre-announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions this autumn. The news was officially disclosed by both companies.
The action game titled “One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4” was initially released on March 26, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers through Steam, making it available across multiple platforms.
The next-gen versions of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2 are expected to deliver improved visuals with increased enemy density compared to their current generations. Let’s compare the upgrades between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions as examples:
1. More detailed environments and character models – The enhanced graphics on PS5 will result in a more immersive gaming experience.
2. Smoother performance with reduced load times – Players can expect faster gameplay and seamless transitions between areas on the PS5, making for a more fluid gaming experience overall.

As a dedicated gamer, if you’re already rocking the game on any PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One, there’s good news! You’ll have the chance to level up to the next-gen version at a bargain. In the land of the rising sun, that means just 100 yen for PS4 and Switch owners, while Xbox One gamers get a free pass. Unfortunately, the upgrade price for Western territories is yet to be revealed, but keep your fingers crossed!
