The popular series “One Piece” is back with a fresh episode of its unique spinoff anime, as part of the grand One Piece Day 2025 event weekend. In honor of the franchise, “One Piece” is pulling out all the stops this weekend, presenting a special celebration featuring various projects currently in development, and fans have already been treated to some exciting surprises during this new weekend. Among these surprises is the comeback of a special spinoff anime that initially appeared earlier this year for a limited period, allowing even more fans to enjoy it now.
One Piece with Love is an official spin-off series focusing on a gang of children who, apart from their affection towards Eiichiro Oda’s manga, also share the same names as the Straw Hats crew members. This spin-off premiered in its entirety for anime earlier this year but had a brief run. However, as part of One Piece Day 2025 celebrations, the spin-off has resumed, with each character expressing their reactions to all the weekend’s happenings so far. What Is Koisuru One Piece?
The affectionate title “One Piece” (originally penned by Daiki Ihara for Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ in 2018) is an officially approved spinoff series focusing on a pair of young characters, accompanied by a third companion, who share names with Straw Hat crew members from Eiichiro Oda’s “One Piece” franchise. They form a bond over their shared passion for this popular franchise. This spinoff was released on social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok prior to the return of the “One Piece: Egghead Arc” to our screens earlier this year after its temporary hiatus.
In the latest episode, the same team from earlier installments reappears, with Miki Kobayashi producing it. Yu Kamatani and Hazuki Omoya take on directing duties for Toei Animation. Hanao Iida designs the characters, Midori Tanaka oversees art direction, Emi Nakajima handles color design, and Kosuke Ohori is in charge of cinematography. The voice actors Ryosuke Kanemoto as Luffy Yamamoto, Ayane Sakura as Nami Koyama, and Yuichi Nakamura as Usopp Nakatsugawa lend their voices for this One Piece Day 2025 special short.
