One Piece Unveils New Look For Luffy’s Best Ally (Even After a Long Manga Absence)

Trafalgar Law, a fan-favorite character from *One Piece*, hasn’t been seen in the manga for over two years, but remains incredibly popular with fans. He was first introduced during the Sabaody Archipelago Arc and made a brief appearance at the end of the Summit War, but he really became well-known after the Punk Hazard Arc, which took place immediately after the Fish-Man Island Saga. In that arc, Luffy reconnects with Law, who has become one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Law then proposes that they team up to defeat Kaido, one of the most powerful pirates in the world, and Luffy quickly agrees.

For over ten years, Trafalgar Law was a key figure in the series, starting with the Punk Hazard arc and continuing until the end of the Wano Country arc when he separated from the Straw Hat Pirates. He became incredibly popular with fans, particularly after the Dressrosa arc, which showed his heartbreaking backstory. Since his battle with Blackbeard, his current situation has been a mystery. While the manga hasn’t provided any new information about him, the official One Piece social media account recently celebrated his birthday with a great image of the character.

One Piece Celebrates Trafalgar Law’s Birthday With a New Visual

To mark the birthday of the popular character on October 6th, the official *One Piece* social media account shared a new illustration. The artwork, created by animator FastoF325, features a striking look for the character Law from the Punk Hazard Arc. Fasto also contributed to Episode 1093, a highly praised episode featuring an exciting battle between Law and Blackbeard over copies of the Road Poneglyph.

The birthdays for characters in *One Piece* are either created by the author, Eiichiro Oda, or suggested by fans through the series’ Q&A section. Oda ultimately makes the final decision, and often these dates are based on clever number-related puns in Japanese. For example, a fan proposed October 6th as Trafalgar Law’s birthday, and Oda agreed. Interestingly, Tashigi and Bartolomeo also share this birthday. Official birthday artwork is usually released for the most popular characters in the series.

After the intense battle in Wano, Luffy’s crew continued their journey to Egghead. Meanwhile, Law and his crew unfortunately encountered the Blackbeard Pirates. Although they fought bravely, Law couldn’t defeat the Emperor by himself, and his crew was scattered. Bepo, in a desperate attempt to escape, used a powerful medicine created by Chopper, which temporarily boosted his strength. He and Law barely managed to flee, but the fate of the rest of their crew remains a mystery. This occurred over two years ago in Chapter 1081, and Law hasn’t been seen in the manga since, leaving fans concerned for his well-being.
