Season 3’s Director Speaks

Apart from the hype generated by the latest trailer, there’s also been a stir concerning One-Punch Man‘s third season due to a statement issued by the director of the upcoming episodes, Shimpei Nagai. After the trailer was released, he said, “I’m Shimpei Nagai, the director for One Punch Man Season 3. I understand your reactions and I ask for your patience as I explain why I was selected. This might take some time, but please listen carefully. From the start, I’ve been a freelancer, and that remains true today.

The anime director went on to say, “At the age of 37, I completed my apprenticeship and ventured into the world of anime with a project titled ‘Hiiro no Kakera.’ Later, I learned to produce hybrid animation combining 3D in a project called ‘Aquarion Logos.’ For a year, I worked for a 3D company, contributing to visual boards for shows like ‘Altered Carbon.’ My ultimate goal was always Manglobe. I sharpened my skills on Episode 6 of ‘GANGSTA’ and shows such as ‘Samurai Flamenco.’ My ambition was to create a unique blend of 3D computer graphics and hand-drawn animation, but as many are aware, Manglobe eventually had to close its doors.

Previously, in the second season of “One-Punch Man”, Saitama continued his battle against the Monster Association, while Garou joined forces with underground creatures. Eager to eliminate as many heroes as possible, the “Hero Filler” underwent significant physical transformations, giving him a more monstrous appearance compared to earlier. As fans of the manga are aware, an epic showdown is imminent between the main anime’s protagonist and antagonist, promising a clash to remember.
