Everything we’ve seen of Onimusha: Way of the Sword suggests it’s a game with a lot of promise, and the newest trailer from Tokyo Game Show 2025 reinforces that impression.
The upcoming PS5 release of this Capcom classic is shaping up nicely. It looks fantastic, and the combat, focused on swordplay, appears incredibly rewarding. It’s definitely a game to keep an eye on.
What’s more, the game’s story is really captivating. The main character, Musashi, is initially killed by demons, but he’s revived by a magical gauntlet, allowing him to fight his way through Kyoto in a brutal quest for revenge.
Overall, we’re on the fence about the English dub. We’re happy to see British voice actors getting work on major projects, but something just doesn’t quite feel right with this one.
Don’t worry – Way of the Sword will let you switch between Japanese and English audio. We’re just curious to hear what people who prefer dubs think of the voice acting clips in this trailer.
