Is Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise Worth Playing?
Deadly Premonition 2 is a unique game because it’s both a sequel and a prequel to the original Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut. It features a new mystery to solve with the returning character, FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan. While the story is understandable on its own, playing Deadly Premonition 2 before the first game will reveal spoilers. If you don’t mind spoilers, playing them in either order is fine. Plus, the original game is currently available for just $1.24, meaning you can get both games for a very low price. But the question remains: are these games worth playing?
Steam players generally like the story in Deadly Premonition 2, but it has some technical issues with its gameplay. If you’re a big fan of murder mystery games, it might be worth the full price, but at only $2, it’s an easy risk to take despite its flaws. The original Deadly Premonition has mixed reviews as well, and also costs under $2. If you enjoy horror mystery series, both games could be worth checking out.
