
Okay, let me tell you, going into “Blood of My Blood” was a little nerve-wracking. The “Outlander” fans are intense, and this prequel had huge shoes to fill. But honestly? I was really impressed. Both the critics and the dedicated “Outlander” community seemed to overwhelmingly love it – and I can definitely see why. It really delivered.
He said they finished filming before Christmas, and the project is now fully completed and ready for release, while discussing his starring role in the upcoming video game adaptation, Return to Silent Hill.
The new season is much more ambitious. After the success of the first season, the creators gave us a lot of freedom. The showrunner, Matt Roberts, has really outdone himself – the scope is massive, and it’s a definite step up in quality. Hopefully, viewers will enjoy it.
He said the response to the initial launch was far better than anyone on the team had expected.
He explained that when starting a new show, it’s hard to predict how it will go. While decisions are made based on the script and cast initially, a lot changes after filming wraps up.
When you’re an actor, you’re just a small piece of the overall filmmaking puzzle. After filming, there’s often a long period of editing and many different people contributing their ideas. So, when a project really comes together well, it’s a great feeling – because it doesn’t always happen!
I’m so excited for what’s coming in Outlander! We’re still reeling from that last cliffhanger, but first, we get the final episodes of the main series. They’re starting on MGM+ in the UK on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, which is just one day after they premiere in the US and Canada.
