As a huge fan, it’s a little bittersweet looking at the final cast list for Starz’s Outlander with season 8 being the last. This show has been a cornerstone of the romantasy genre for over ten years, and it’s really launched the careers of so many of the actors we’ve come to love. Outlander‘s success means they’re all moving on to new and exciting things, which is great, but I’m definitely going to miss seeing them in these roles. Thankfully, we still have a little more time to enjoy them as these characters!
The eighth season of Outlander finds Jamie and Claire back at Fraser’s Ridge, trying to avoid involvement in the escalating Revolutionary War. But their plans change when their daughter, Brianna, travels from the future with a book revealing how Jamie will die in an upcoming battle. Determined to alter fate, they embark on another journey to change the course of history. This last season of Outlander is expected to be filled with emotional drama, passionate romance, and enchanting adventures, brought to life by the show’s talented cast—both familiar and new.

I’m completely captivated by Claire in Outlander! She starts as a really strong nurse during World War II, and then, in the blink of an eye, she’s transported back to 18th-century Scotland. That’s where she meets Jamie Fraser, and their love story begins. It’s amazing to think about how long they’ve been together, especially considering where they are now in season 8 – happily settled at Fraser’s Ridge in North Carolina, after everything they’ve been through!
