Outlander fans have been bracing themselves for the show’s end for a while, and now the final season is nearly here. A recently released trailer has only increased the anticipation and emotion surrounding what’s to come.
The trailer is finally here, and it gives us a great preview of the game, which was originally announced last year with a March release date. Prepare to be emotionally affected – it looks like a tearjerker!
Okay, so season 7 was intense! Seeing Claire and Jamie caught up in the American Revolution was already a lot, but the way it ended… wow. They were left reeling, seriously questioning if their baby, Faith, had actually survived. It all came down to this creepy moment where Fanny started singing a song – the same song Claire used to sing, and from the wrong time period! It was a total cliffhanger and left me completely stressed for them!
The trailer not only hints at a key plotline, but also reminds us what fans love most about the series: the passionate relationship between Claire and Jamie, and it quickly throws us right back into their world.
Lying in bed, Claire tells Jamie, “I have everything I’ve ever desired.” She adds, “I hope you’ve gotten everything you wished for as well.”

The scene shifts to Fanny, Brianna, and Roger relaxing in a forest, with Brianna holding a locket engraved with Faith’s name – a moment of peace. Following this, Brianna and Roger are shown happily spending time together, after everything they’ve been through.
When Brianna returns the book The Soul of a Rebel, it unexpectedly affects Jamie. He reads it and discovers information about future events from the war. However, the biggest shock comes when Jamie tells Claire the book claims he will die.
I’m seriously worried about Jamie! War is brewing, and he feels like he has to fight, even though Claire is begging him to stay safe. I just have this awful feeling it’s going to lead to disaster for him. It’s like he’s drawn to it, and I’m terrified it’ll be his downfall.

The trailer is likely to deeply move fans, as it suggests the conflict will escalate, the danger will grow, and Jamie and Claire will face incredibly emotional challenges.
When season 8 starts, Jamie and Claire discover the war has reached their home at Fraser’s Ridge. While they were away, the settlement has grown into a successful and bustling community.
After years apart and with new faces and changes back home, the Frasers must decide what they’re willing to give up to protect their home – and, even more crucially, what they’d sacrifice to remain a family.
Despite appearing strong and united when facing outsiders, the Fraser family is now being threatened by secrets revealed from within. They may have escaped the Revolutionary War, but their struggles are far from over as they fight to build a life at Fraser’s Ridge.
In addition to the main actors returning for the new season, John Bell (Young Ian), David Berry (Lord John Grey), Charles Vandervaart (William Ransom), Izzy Meikle-Small (Rachel Hunter), and Joey Phillips (Denzell Hunter) will also be back. Fans who watched the season 8 trailer may have also noticed Lauren Lyle, who played Marsali Fraser in seasons 3 through 6, making an appearance.
