Blizzard Entertainment is creating a new mobile game called Overwatch Rush. It’s a hero shooter with a top-down perspective, built for both iPhones and Android devices. Blizzard hasn’t said when the game will be available yet.

Blizzard Entertainment is creating a new mobile shooter with a team specifically built for mobile games, and who have a lot of experience in that area. This team is different from the one working on the original Overwatch game, which continues to be their main focus.

What is Overwatch Rush?

Overwatch Rush is a new mobile hero shooter currently in development. Set in the Overwatch universe, it’s built specifically for on-the-go gaming with quick matches and customizable heroes. The game focuses on fast-paced combat and is designed for both team play and solo experiences, all while offering easy-to-use controls and shorter play sessions without simplifying the gameplay.

Why is testing only available in some countries and regions?

Like many mobile games, we’re testing to improve how the game plays, runs, and handles lots of players. This also lets us get feedback on everything and make sure it works well on different phones and internet connections. We’re starting with a few select countries to make this process faster and more effective.

Can I participate if I am outside of the test countries and regions?

I’m really excited about this game, but right now it’s only available for players in certain countries as part of the testing phase. If you want to stay up-to-date on how things are progressing and when it might roll out to more regions, the developers are sharing updates on their Discord server!

When is Overwatch Rush coming out?

Currently, Overwatch Rush doesn’t support controllers. However, our team is exploring ways to add controller support as we continue testing and developing the game.

The Limited Geo Test features a select group of Heroes, maps, and game modes to help us ensure everything runs smoothly and collect player feedback. Overwatch Rush will grow and change with fresh content, events, and improvements based on what players think.

Who is developing Overwatch Rush?

Overwatch Rush is being created by a Blizzard team working independently of the team behind the original Overwatch. We’re an international group with a lot of experience making mobile games.

So, I’m really excited about Overwatch Rush – it’s a free-to-play mobile game, which is awesome! We’re definitely paying attention to what players think about how things are balanced, and we’re prepared to tweak the in-app purchase stuff during testing if needed to make sure skill really matters.
