This year marks Pac-Man’s 45th birthday, and to celebrate, Bandai Namco is releasing not just one but two games featuring the iconic character. The initial release was Shadow Labyrinth, and most recently, they’ve officially announced Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac.
Here’s the announcement trailer:
This game is a modern reinterpretation of the PS2-style platformer, similar to how 2022’s Pac-Man World: Re-Pac brought back the original from the PS1.
Instead, let me rephrase for you: Essentially, it’s an engaging 3D game where you gather various fruits and conquer ghosts in the course of exploring Pac-Land.

Alongside the visual enhancement, Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac offers a new feature – local cooperative play. This means another player can now jump into the game, controlling Pac-Drone, who has the ability to fire at adversaries and collect dots just like the main character.
Furthermore, the addition of a landing spot beneath Pac-Man provides a more accurate prediction of where you will touch down, making it a user-friendly enhancement.
In the revamped version, you’ll find stage missions that, upon completion, grant you unique rewards like costumes for Pac-Man or collectible figurines to showcase.
