Captain America Star Chris Evans Comments on Steve Rogers’ Marvel Return

I, Chris Evans, am back as Captain America after playing Deadpool and Wolverine. Major spoiler alert for the sole Marvel movie of the year! But don’t be alarmed, I’ve swapped roles this time around, filming a clandestine cameo as Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four. Entertainment Weekly quizzed me about reprising my role as Cap and whether it crosses my mind. My response? “Not really, no.” Marvel fans can expect some significant comebacks soon. The frenzy surrounding Deadpool and Wolverine’s rowdy fanbase is a testament to the fact that nothing is permanently written off in this universe. (Feel free to interpret that as you see fit!)

Hockey: Women’s Pool Matches

GB’s women have a favorable starting match against Spain in the pool stage, increasing the likelihood of them advancing to the quarter-finals. If they manage to avoid finishing fourth in their pool, which could potentially lead to facing the Dutch team, matches against Belgium, Germany, or China are winnable as individual encounters. The tournament format offers an opportunity for underdogs to surprise everyone and reach the semi-finals and medal match. The British squad must accumulate momentum and maintain the fitness of their players since they don’t have a deep roster. If they manage to accomplish this, anything could be possible for them. Rugby Sevens: Women’s Pool Matches

Megan Jones transitioned from Sevens to XVs rugby, achieving the Grand Slam with the Red Roses and earning the Premiership Women’s Player of the Season title in an impressive year. Now she’s back to her specialty, Sevens. With Ellie Kildunne, arguably the best female rugby back, joining the team, Great Britain has a decent shot at success. However, they face challenges as they finished eighth this season in the HSBC Sevens series and their form hasn’t been stellar. They’re approaching this tournament with cautious optimism, aiming to reach their peak performance when it matters most.

Artistic Gymnastics: Men’s Team Final

As a moviegoer and gymnastics enthusiast, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the men’s team after they finished fourth in the last two Olympic Games. Typically, China and Japan are fighting for first and second place, while America is always in contention but with occasional mistakes. In the team final, one error can significantly alter the rotation order. I still recall watching the 2022 World Championships where Great Britain’s start didn’t go as planned. However, some of the other teams also faced challenges, allowing us to stay focused and secure a few high scores that ultimately turned things around. The competition will be tight, without a doubt. – Beth Tweddle

Equestrian: Eventing Team Showjumping

When I used to compete in eventing, my team consisted of five members. However, now it’s down to three, which means we no longer have the option to discard a score. This makes our task more challenging. The Germans are consistently strong contenders, but if Great Britain had fielded two teams, they could have taken the gold. This would have put immense pressure on the selectors. Ros Canter rides Lordships Graffalo and was an alternate in Tokyo. She’s currently in excellent form. Laura Collett secured team eventing gold in Tokyo with Oliver Townend and Tom McEwen, who also earned silver in individual eventing. Yasmin Ingham boasts the title of world champion. All five riders have a high chance of winning individual medals as well. TINA COOK
