When asked if the New Avengers twist was planned from the beginning, Schreier revealed that:
As a follower, I must share that Denis Villeneuve himself has stated that his “Dune Messiah” adaptation would be his last film in this series, implying it’s highly unlikely we’ll witness Villeneuve’s versions of “Children of Dune” or “Chapterhouse Dune”.
