The first volume of the manga came out in Japan on January 5th, 2026, and quickly sold over 266,000 copies that month. Even without being available outside of Japan, it was the sixth best-selling manga of the month. Now, more than five months after it began, the story is nearing its end. The manga, Modulo, has clearly entered its final arc, building towards a conclusion.
As announced last month, a major update called Threads of Fate (patch 1.1) is now available for the game, adding a lot of exciting new content to an already great experience.
HBO Max’s Somebody Somewhere, highly praised by critics, shares a similar realistic and comforting feel with Schitt’s Creek. However, while Schitt’s Creek generally focuses on minor issues, Somebody Somewhere isn’t afraid to explore deeper, more difficult emotions, which ultimately makes it a more rewarding show to watch.

Shows like Hill Street Blues and Homicide: Life on the Streets made realistic and intense crime dramas common on TV. David Lynch’s Twin Peaks then took things further, introducing a surreal and dreamlike quality to regular network programming. Compared to the strange and mysterious journeys of Twin Peaks’ Agent Dale Cooper, the dream sequences in The Sopranos seemed relatively simple.
Warner Bros. Discovery announced the cast: Ncuti Gatwa will play Darren, Jessica Newton will be Anya, Hayley Peake will portray Helen, and Kwaku Sapani will play Earnest. A24 is producing the project, and Jesse Armstrong, the creator of Succession, is an executive producer. Michaela Coel, Sam Miller, Phil Clarke, and Roberto Troni are also executive producers.
Shows like Supernatural and The Good Place are really skilled at changing things up and keeping the story fresh. However, not all shows manage this well. Some fail because their changes feel out of character, become predictable, or happen too late in the series. For example, a vampire show that declined in quality after its main character became a vampire, or a CW mystery that lost its way, demonstrate how easily reinvention can go wrong.
The story of Granny began in South Korea in 2019 and concluded in 2022. An upcoming live-action adaptation introduces a gritty world of gangsters and crime, reminiscent of Taro Sakamoto’s work. The plot centers around a grandmother who seeks revenge when her grandson is put into a coma after becoming involved with the mob. She’s given a dangerous opportunity: to become a weapon in exchange for justice. The new television series will star Lee Jung Eun, known for her roles in Heavenly Ever After, The Trunk, and The Frog, and Kim Mu Yeol, who appeared in Netflix’s Sweet Home. Though production hasn’t started yet, Granny has the potential to be a major success for Netflix.
As a huge Spider-Man fan, I was really intrigued by the first trailer for the Spider-Noir series! It’s got such a dark and gritty vibe, and it’s clear this isn’t your typical friendly neighborhood hero. Apparently, this Spider-Man is actually Ben Reilly, not Peter Parker, and he’s going through a really rough patch – think bar fights and a bit too much to drink. It’s actually pretty wild because Sony previously had a deal with Marvel saying Spider-Man characters shouldn’t drink at all! It definitely makes you wonder who this damaged Spider-Man is, and what Nicolas Cage is going to bring to the role.
I was really fascinated to hear the Russo brothers talk about Doomsday with Empire. They explained how it pushes boundaries compared to their previous Avengers films. Anthony put it perfectly – while they always aim for fun and spectacle, they also really challenge themselves with the story. He believes Doomsday represents a new peak in that complexity, and I think that’s exciting!
