2026 Is a Huge Year for Spider-Man, and It Now Officially Breaks a Marvel Record

While the new Marvel movie Brand New Day will likely be the biggest Spider-Man news, there are other projects coming soon. In 2026, you can expect the Spider-Noir TV show on Prime Video (which isn’t connected to the main Marvel Cinematic Universe) and the second season of the animated Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man on Disney+. This will be the first time ever that three Spider-Man projects – movies or shows – starring Spider-Man himself all come out in one year (excluding other Marvel films from Sony that don’t feature Spider-Man). It also marks the first time we’ll see both a live-action Spider-Man movie and a TV series released in the same year.

The series, titled 11.22.63 (written as 11.22.63 instead of 11/22/63 like the book), is celebrating its 10th anniversary and still feels incredibly current. Created by J.J. Abrams, known for Star Wars and Lost, the sci-fi show features James Franco as Jake Epping, a divorced English teacher from Maine. Jake is given the opportunity to travel back to the 1960s and try to stop the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Once in the past, he grows fond of the era, which, predictably, makes his mission more difficult.
