This holiday season, Ridley Scott is bringing us back to Ancient Rome with the premiere of Gladiator II, the long-awaited sequel to the Academy Award-winning film, Gladiator. Scott’s latest creation promises to deliver the same grandeur, intensity, and graphic violence as its predecessor. After watching the trailer, it comes as no shock that Gladiator II is likely to earn an R rating, much like its original release from almost a quarter of a century ago.

Sigourney Weaver, who played Grace Augustine in Avatar and Kiri in Avatar: The Way of Water, has recently discussed her involvement with the franchise in an interview with Deadline. When questioned about her participation in the currently unnamed fourth and fifth films, Weaver confirmed, “Indeed, I believe I’m allowed to say that.”
