For years, the Nioh series has flown somewhat under the radar, despite being incredibly well-made and challenging. It’s one of the most polished and demanding games in the ‘Souls-like’ genre, yet it’s rarely mentioned among the best. With the upcoming release of Nioh 3, it’s becoming clear that this lack of recognition is a mistake. Nioh wasn’t designed to be easy to pick up; it aimed for incredible depth, and that’s why it’s been overlooked for so long. Fans of the ‘Souls’ games really should give it another look.

Currently, Season 2 is scheduled for 10 episodes, and it’s unclear if there will be another part. Netflix is only showing the new season in certain Asian countries, and they haven’t published a complete list of where it’s available. Viewers in the US might get it a few weeks after it finishes airing, or once all episodes are released. Because Season 1 is already on Netflix, Season 2 will likely be added eventually, though it could take some time.

Inspired by shows like Upstairs/Downstairs, Grand Hotel follows the lives of the Mendoza family – charismatic hotel owner Santiago, his wife Gigi, and their children, who are enjoying the benefits of their parents’ hard work. The story also explores the lives of the hotel staff, who are dedicated to the Mendozas and help maintain their lavish lifestyle. While wealthy guests enjoy the hotel’s luxury, hidden beneath the surface are scandals, mounting debts, and shocking secrets.

Before things got really intense, there was this great little song sung by Egg that honestly, I can’t get out of my head – and no, I’m not talking about that song with Alice! It’s a really funny tune he sings while up a tree, referencing his dad, Maekar, his uncle Baelor, and a few others, and he almost slips up with some bad language. It’s super catchy and feels totally like the kind of song Egg would learn – I immediately pictured his older brother Daeron, who’s a bit of a drinker, teaching it to him. It just fits his character perfectly.

Overall, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is best described as remarkably streamlined. The previous 3DS remake improved the beginning, but this version really focuses on a smooth, fast-paced experience while still capturing the unique charm of Dragon Quest. And does it work? Absolutely. It’s a huge success and could easily be considered one of the best games in the series, and one of the most enjoyable RPGs released this year.

These villains ground Spider-Man, forcing him to deal with realistic, street-level crime instead of fantastical threats. It often seems like their main goal is just to make his life difficult.
