As a devoted gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but marvel at the extraordinary talent that is Troy Baker. Known for his versatile performances in numerous blockbuster games like Joel in “The Last of Us,” Kanji in “Persona 4,” The Joker in “Batman: Arkham Origins,” Booker in “BioShock: Infinite,” and many more, he’s a household name in the gaming world. His presence in games is hardly ever absent, making it no surprise that another upcoming title will soon bear his acting prowess.
A day prior to its release, the second story DLC for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora titled Secret of the Spires has been postponed. This decision comes from Massive Entertainment due to a significant last-minute problem. The new launch date is set for November 28th, at midnight Pacific Time.
Previously this year, “Knuckles” made its premiere on Paramount+. The series shone a light on Idris Elba’s character and added depth to the story of Knuckles before the launch of “Sonic the Hedgehog 3”. Although Paramount appears pleased with the show’s viewership, no formal announcements have been made regarding a second season. According to recent reports from Daniel Richtman (via @therealcineor), discussions about a new season are currently underway. At this point, no decisions have been made, but potential characters from Sega could be introduced in the upcoming season, which might not have been seen in the Sonic movies yet.
In the upcoming game by studio Naughty Dog, known for creating Uncharted and The Last of Us series, Troy Baker is set to reprise his role. For over a decade, Baker has been closely associated with Naughty Dog’s games, voicing characters such as Joel Miller from both The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II, as well as Sam Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Baker’s association with the studio stretches beyond just games, as he played the character James in the live-action adaptation of The Last of Us on HBO. While it’s clear that their partnership continues into the future, details about specific projects are yet to be disclosed.
