The fourth episode of Wonder Man, titled “Doorman,” tells the story of DeMarr Davis (played by Byron Bowers). DeMarr is a nightclub doorman who gets superpowers after being exposed to toxic waste from the Roxxon Corporation. He can create portals through his own body and uses this ability to rescue people from a fire, including actor Josh Gad. Gad then helps DeMarr become famous, first as a bodyguard and then as an actor playing a superhero nicknamed “Doorman.” Doorman becomes a viral sensation thanks to his signature phrase, “Ding Dong!”

Fans are disappointed to learn that She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will be removed from Netflix on February 21st. The cancellation itself was upsetting, but the complete removal of the show from the platform, without any explanation, has added to the frustration. According to the show’s creator, ND Stevenson, this has happened to other Dreamworks series as well, due to expiring licensing agreements with Netflix. Stevenson explained that showrunners have no say in these decisions, and years of work by the creative teams have resulted in the show having no streaming home.

The new Marvel series Wonder Man on Disney+ features the return of Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, the quirky actor who previously posed as a terrorist for the villain from Iron Man 3. We last saw Slattery in a magical dimension with Shang-Chi, but now he’s unexpectedly back in Hollywood, bringing some obscure Marvel history with him. This has fans wondering if the show will finally deliver on long-awaited storylines and promises.
