Although this update doesn’t provide detailed insights about Dragon Quest XII, it suggests that development is moving forward, though at a leisurely pace. Previously, we didn’t have many details regarding the game. Last year, creator Yuji Horii hinted on Twitter that he aims to create something worthy of the posthumous work of the two creators who passed away – Koichi Sugiyama (in 2021) and Akira Toriyama (in 2024). For many fans, the thought of a new Dragon Quest without its composer and character designer is nearly inconceivable. It will be intriguing to observe how the series adapts without their influence.

According to the information provided, it appears that the Deluxe Edition of the game “Hell is Us” will be available for early access four days prior, starting on September 1st. This aligns with the Xbox Store page description which states that by preordering the Deluxe Edition, you can play the game three days ahead of time at no extra cost and receive a complimentary, exclusive cosmetic items pack for Remi and KAPI (his drone). Unfortunately, at this moment, the PS Store only offers a standard wishlist option; there’s currently no pre-order functionality available.
