I really enjoy games that stay true to their identity and don’t back down from it, and that’s exactly what Burning Sword Death Sun does. This game features a martial sect leader emerging from hell, wielding a flaming sword and delivering lightning-fast fist strikes as he fights his way across a fictional China to assert dominance. I’m not kidding about that either! The gameplay is unapologetically soulslike with a hack-and-slash twist to keep things fast-paced and exciting. Unreal Engine 5 is used effectively to create stunning landscapes, waving grass, and vibrant color schemes, although the facial textures could use some more refinement. Prior to this update, there was a great deal of turbulence and anticipation. It’s fair to say that the update is now sparking strong reactions, even causing some players to become upset.
