
During the Disney era, Lucasfilm was entrusted to a longtime collaborator of Lucas named Kathleen Kennedy. She was appointed to lead Lucasfilm, and over the last decade, she completed the Star Wars sequel trilogy with varying success, introduced several popular live-action TV shows for Star Wars like The Mandalorian, among other accomplishments. However, this period has been marked by controversy as many have criticized Kennedy’s management of Star Wars. Numerous projects have been suddenly terminated, films underwent significant changes at the last minute, and there have been numerous issues. To put it mildly, things haven’t gone smoothly, and Kennedy has had to deal with some of the same criticism that Lucas faced.
