If you already bought Final Fantasy VII on Steam, you’ll get the updated version at no extra cost. You’ll still be able to play the original version, which will be called Final Fantasy VII – 2013 Edition. However, the 2013 Edition is no longer sold, and you can’t transfer your saved games between the original and the new versions.

Wild Vector Games, a studio based in New Zealand, introduced their new game, Orbifold, with a Kickstarter campaign on February 6, 2026. Orbifold is described on its Steam page as a fast-paced shooter where players battle through strange, spherical arenas – either solo or with friends. Players will explore the ruins of a shattered planet, searching for weapons, items, and unique upgrades. What sets this game apart is its inverted world – the entire 3D environment uses unusual gravity and physics for movement. The game’s initial prototype is finished, and the Kickstarter is seeking funds to complete development.
