Actor Joel McHale, best known from “Community” and “Starman,” has signed on to appear in Showtime’s popular series “Yellowjackets.” The second season of “Yellowjackets” concluded on Showtime last May, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the third season. However, due to industry strikes like WGA and SAG, a delay in production is common for prestige series. Apart from the planned “Community” movie, McHale will juggle his “Yellowjackets” role with his commitments on Fox’s “Animal Control,” which has been renewed for its third season. He also produces and hosts unscripted shows for Netflix and made a brief appearance in the third season of “The Bear.” Since wrapping up his time as Starman, McHale has remained active.
