Within a few weeks, Warner Bros. plans to unveil the much-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 movie “Beetlejuice,” featuring Winona Ryder as the timeless Lydia Deetz and Michael Keaton reprising his role as Beetlejuice. Known as “The Ghost with the Most,” this film is expected to make a big splash during its opening weekend, hitting theaters on September 6th and potentially setting records for one of the largest September releases. As Halloween approaches, fans new and old will be introduced to the franchise through an abundance of merchandise that Warner Bros. has prepared, reflecting their excitement for this pop culture phenomenon.

In some ways, my eagerness for each year’s Madden game mirrors my enthusiasm for the real NFL season. This year is no exception; I’ve been quite eager for my favorite team, the Chicago Bears, which has made me look forward to this year’s Madden more than in a long while. What took me by surprise was how much I enjoyed Madden NFL 25. Despite being the same game as before, improvements in crucial areas and a polished presentation make each play feel contemporary. This edition of Madden is like a team with a promising draft pick: revitalized, progressive, and prepared to keep improving for years to come.

Over the past couple of years, the team at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has been quite productive. They released remakes like “Like a Dragon: Ishin” and “Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name” in 2023, followed by “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth” and “Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble” this year. You might think they’d be winding down after four games in two years, but surprisingly, they’ve announced that their next game will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show in September. Although details about this upcoming project are scarce, there’s been a buzz suggesting that some well-known voices might join the series’ voice cast with whatever is to come.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Disney+ wouldn’t be renewing “Star Wars: The Acolyte” for another season. Despite having a dedicated fanbase, the series faced intense criticism from some quarters who left negative reviews unintentionally on the wrong version of the show on Rotten Tomatoes. Unfortunately, the overwhelming support didn’t manage to save the show. Since the cancellation, there has been much disappointment voiced online, but most of the cast members have remained silent about the decision. However, today Manny Jacinto (who plays Qimir/The Stranger) shared a poignant post on Instagram expressing his feelings.
