In early 2025, two classic elements from the inaugural days of the Pokémon Trading Card Game are making a comeback. Recently, The Pokémon Company has revealed their plan to reintroduce the concept of Trainer’s Pokémon into the game, starting in 2025. Characters like Marnie, Lillie, and N were featured in a trailer for the returning Trainer’s Pokémon gimmick, with a hint at Team Rocket’s return as well. Importantly, the Pokémon Trading Card Game will still utilize Pokémon-ex cards, as demonstrated in the first trailer showcasing some of the new cards.
