Netflix unveiled the initial sneak peek for “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” which marks Ryan Murphy’s second installment in his series of true crime dramas under the “Monster” banner. The show is slated to premiere in September, with two more seasons already commissioned due to the success of last year’s series on Richard Dahmer. Murphy and executive producer Ian Brennan have chosen the Menendez brothers, whose case was a sensational tabloid topic in the 1990s, as their next project. Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez will portray the brothers, who were found guilty of killing their parents Jose and Mary Louise (previously played by Javier Bardem and Chloe Sevigny).
