A Reddit user explained that it wasn’t just the change to her signature dual pistols, but that the show failed to capture her adventurous spirit. The attempt to make her more relatable by focusing on a family drama and guilt-tripping her into following her father’s path took away from the fun and excitement of being a tomb raider, fundamentally changing the character and the premise of the series.
