HBO Max has been adding a lot of great horror movies this November, like The Conjuring: Last Rites. However, fans of older films should know that Evil Dead II will be leaving the platform on November 30th. The movie, a sequel to the 1981 horror hit, arrived on HBO Max in September. It stars Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, battling more terrifying demons in a remote cabin. Evil Dead II is a horror comedy directed by Sam Raimi and was released six years after the original film.

As Iger explained, Disney intentionally aimed to create a Star Wars film that felt true to the original movies. They were under pressure to deliver something familiar – visually and in terms of its overall feel – and avoid straying too far from what fans loved. Ironically, George Lucas criticized them for doing exactly that! However, Star Wars is now finally taking Lucas’ initial feedback about The Force Awakens to heart.

To help the movie flow better between musical themes, two new songs by Schwartz – “Girl in the Bubble” and “There’s No Place Like Home” – are added. Though appreciated, these songs aren’t quite strong enough to fully address the underlying problems with the story’s structure and pacing.

Using artificial voices in place of real voice actors is a huge misstep for this anime, especially given how powerfully it deals with difficult emotions and traumatic experiences. The use of AI in creative fields is already controversial, and fans are strongly reacting to this decision. The streaming platform is facing significant criticism online, and many professional voice actors are speaking out against it. For example, Daman Mills, known for voicing Frieza in Dragon Ball Super, shared his strong disapproval in a viral post, highlighting a lack of respect for the art of anime.
